Back to the future

Yes, the blog has been slow this month. I have several entries that haven't made it past draft mode: just running out of time. I'll try to get some meaningful updates over the next few weeks. Some of what's going on:

Tons of product initiatives are underway right now, including our SOA platform release and forward looking work on the SOA front. In my view, Oracle's platform is second to none in the market right now.

Toward the end of May, I am slated to speak on the Service Component Architecture in Shanghai at ICSE 2006. Topic will be "Next Generation Integration Platforms". I will post the presentation to the blog around that time.

Lastly, I am planning to do an executive program at Wharton this year. I'm very excited about this opportunity to develop new skills and friendships. I'm hoping this will also lead to a nice mix of business oriented and technical posts over time.
